AbbVie Signs On To Recruit Diverse Talent at Upcoming HBCU Connect Annual Conference & Career Fair on June 28th! (2878 hits)


On Friday, June 28th, 2024 at Washington Nationals Stadium in Washington, DC, HBCU CONNECT will host it's 1st Annual Conference and Career Fair offering a huge opportunity for HBCU Graduates and Students nationwide to connect with over 50 companies looking to hire diverse talent.

The role will work closely with cross-functional teams across the organization delivering value and process optimization opportunities, capturing best practices and, improving overall operational performance.

Key Responsibilities in Procurement:
You will…
• Be responsible for sourcing, bidding, negotiating, contracting, and/or purchasing goods and services in alignment with agreed category strategies
• Understand the Organization’s approved buying channels and contracting policy for goods and services and help guide the requestors to the appropriate buying channel
• Work with Purchasing Leadership in AbbVie to optimize related areas of spend for procurement activities
• Identify areas to improve supplier levels by integrating agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
• Develop and implement short term and long-term cost reduction strategies
• Use your data analysis knowledge for purchasing and supplier management (supplier metrics and research, master data, market basket analysis, pricing analysis, monthly/quarterly reporting, savings reporting)
• Demonstrate knowledge of external guidelines (e.g., FDA, Customs, TSCA, USDA, phRMA, etc.) to ensure compliance
• You will collaboratively partner with Key stakeholders i.e., Site Leaders, Finance, Legal, Suppliers
• Potentially manage a team of Purchasing professionals

Key Responsibilities in Supply Chain:
You will….
• As a member of AbbVie’s Supply Chain Operations group, you could lead Brand/Program projects; manage high performing teams; and/or drive capability discussions through analytics
• Many of our groups function as internal consultants partnering cross functionally between Commercial, Finance, and Manufacturing
• AbbVie Supply Chain Operations manages lifecycle transitions that have a significant impact on Brands sales, customer engagement, and Patient satisfaction.
• Projects and initiatives include millions of dollars in capital / project expense
• Our Brand Management Team within AbbVie Supply Chain Operations creates the Brand plan, financial plan, LRP, risk management and Lifecycle strategies. Justify and ensure alignment with AbbVie’s business goals and strategic imperatives.
Key Responsibilities in Manufacturing:
You will….
• Lead and inspire a team of operating personnel to produce high-quality clinical or commercial products.
• Collaboration and teamwork are essential to our success, which is why you will work closely with other supervisors to ensure seamless operations. You'll be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely completion of production-related cGMP documentation. Your attention to detail and commitment to maintaining the highest standards will be crucial in this role.
• As a Manufacturing Supervisor, you'll also be responsible for facilitating the transfer, planning, implementation, and maintenance of manufacturing processes and procedures. Your expertise will be vital in optimizing the use of materials, equipment, and personnel to ensure superior quality products.


Required & Desired Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree; 5 or more years of progressive experience in relate field
• Computer proficiency and scheduling experience required; good writing skills.
• Data analytics skill
• Strong knowledge of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Excellent written and verbal skills enabling effective communication with all levels of management
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and grow relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers
• Ability to prioritize and organize workload across multiple projects
